Favorite Books of 2013

For Men Only, Revised and Updated Edition: A Straightforward Guide to the Inner Lives of Women, 2013, By Shaunti Feldhahn and Jeff Feldhahn These to books were great reads while my husband and I were engaged.  I actually re-gifted it to my mom and her new husband this year 🙂 They were written by a married couple.  The books we read were 2004 editions, but in March 2013 they came out with a revised addition.    The titles are linked to Amazon so you can read reviews.

2.Men Are Like Waffles–Women Are Like Spaghetti: Understanding and Delighting in Your Differences, 2007, by Bill and Pam Farrel I also read this before my husband and I were married and it is super funny.  Ladies if you want a boyfriend or husband to read something with you, this may be your choice.  Click the title above to check out Amazon reviews, you can also have a look inside!

3.Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God, 2013, by Francis Chan Francis Chan is a pretty neat guy if you haven’t heard one of his sermons, you should check one of those out at the very least.  This book drives straight to the point…Are you a lukewarm Christian?  Does your life reflect the Bible?  It’s hard hitting and I believe the Holy Spirit is using this book to stir up hearts of Christians and ignite a new passion for The Word and spreading the Gospel.   A must read!  The title above is linked to Amazon so you can read reviews.

4.Just Walk Across the Room: Simple Steps Pointing People to Faith, 2013, by Bill Hybels This is an excellent book if you want to know how you win people over to Christ.  It isn’t through repeated Bible verses or knocking door to door…nope it’s pretty simple, walk across the room, engage people in conversation, get to know their story, love on them, and if they ask about your faith, well then you get to tell them.  The book gives great examples of how to share your story and also some things you shouldn’t do.  The title above is linked to Amazon so you can read reviews.

Happy reading, let me know if you happen to read any of these and what you thought!
